Answers

How much notice do you require for an order?

Ideally we would like at least 3 full working days notice (1 day to prepare the cake. 1 day to dispatch it and 1 day for delivery). Obviously we can do orders on less notice - it all depends on stock. Please ring us on 01726 72664 to check stock.



Where in the UK can you deliver?

We can deliver to any address within the UK - mainland addresses take 1 day to arrive after dispatch. Some areas can take up to 2 days to arrive, for example Shetland islands, Orkney islands. If you have any concerns or questions about delivery please contact us.



If I order today will it arrive tomorrow?

Please contact us on 01726 72664 to check stock availability. We always carry quite a large stock of cakes so as long as your cake is in stock you can order as late as 12 noon and still have it delivered the next day.



How do you ensure that it arrives safely?

All cakes/cream teas are packed in corrugated boxes with shredded paper for protection. They are packed securely and tightly to eliminate movement within the box while its in transit and are carefully labelled 'perishable and fragile.  If you happen to have any problems with your order please contact us straight away.



What if the recipient is out when you try to deliver the cake?

If there is no reply a card will be left through the door informing the recipient of an attempted delivery. On this card will be instructions about either collection or re-dispatch of the cake (which will be at the local depot) or if the cake has been left with a neighbour, instructions on where the package has been left.



Do you cater for vegetarians?

We offer a wide range of products suitable for vegetarians - all suitable products are clearly listed. If you have any questions or special requests please let us know and we will try to help you as best as we can.



Is it possible for me to track my package to ensure that the recipient receives it?

Yes all cakes have tracking numbers and can be tracked by phone or Internet (UK orders only). If you would like to track your item please let us know as we will give you all the appropriate details. This service is available after 2pm on the day of delivery.



How can I pay as I do not have a credit card?

You can pay by cheque - we will need to receive your cheque at least 10 working days before the order is required to ensure that it clears before we dispatch it. We can also take payment by postal orders. No orders will be dispatched till payment has cleared.
 

What to do if the recipient has a nut allergy?

We do not recommend any of our products if the recipient has a severe nut allergy. All of our products are prepared in the same area, even if the cake has no nuts in it there may be a trace.

We pride ourselves in giving an excellent product and delivery service, and promise a fair adjudication should we fall short or our policy.

Please note: Cancellations must be made prior to dispatch, replacement, refund or late delivery is subject to return to dispatcher for inspection and confirmation.
